COVID Update

Our commitment to our mission and to those who seek our help remains strong and steadfast. Across the state we have seen an increase of overdoses and suicide. We continue to fully operate all functions while taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our clients and staff members.

Since March 2020, Turning Point has developed a multi-pronged systematic approach to managing COVID-19 that incorporates the current CDC and NJ Department of Health guidelines in order to reduce exposure to and transmission of COVID-19:

“I am confident that with the protocols and procedures Turning Point has put into place we will continue to provide a safe and structured environment for our clients”

Lionel Anicette, M.D., Medical Director

From a financial perspective, like many non-profits times are tough. We are witnessing challenges statewide regarding treatment during such unprecedented times.

We thank you for your continued dedication of the mission and those who seek our help.

A message from Robert Detore, CEO of Turning Point

We are living in challenging times. Like so many of you, I am deeply saddened by the recent events taken place and the senseless death of George Floyd and too many others adding to the tragic totals over the decades and centuries. How in 2020 America, are basic human rights still not applicable to everyone? I know you agree that there is no place for racism, injustice, and inequality and it is our responsibility to support and strive for a better society. We can do better than this – the greatest nation in the world should be great for all of us not just for some of us.

I believe the COVID-19 crisis has made us realize as individuals and as a nation how vulnerable we are to forces that we cannot control at least in the initial stages, resulting in so much death and suffering. Until racism, injustice, and inequality are eliminated in our society we will not be a more perfect union. We as a nation need to respect one another to create and ensure change peacefully.
