The Anderson House - A Halfway House for Women

What Is a Halfway House?

A halfway house or a sober living house is a residential program where individuals re-entering society can readjust to normal life in a safe setting that facilitates their unique needs. The Anderson House halfway house program is such a place for women with a history of relapse including women with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

Turning Point is committed to helping our patients turn their lives around. For some, this may involve a stay at our Halfway House, where a clinical team provides comprehensive, compassionate care including individualized counseling, family counseling, comprehensive case management and life skills education in an attractive, nurturing environment. Clients access needed medical, dental and specialized psychiatric care, obtain full-time jobs, build a sober support network and learn how to live a sober, productive and responsible life.

Our goal is to provide effective treatment for alcoholism and drug dependency, equipping patients with the tools they need to turn their lives around.

What is The Purpose of a Halfway House?

Halfway Houses help transition you from treatment to outside life. They help you relearn how to function within society. They will help you learn many different things such as, how to fight the triggers that threaten your recovery.
