Dr. Sandra Braimbridge is an Internist in practice since 1998. She earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics (1986) and her master’s degree in engineering (1991) from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. To further her education and expertise, Dr. Braimbridge graduated from New Jersey Medical School, now Rutgers Medical School, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 1995.
Before Dr. Braimbridge came to Turning Point, she served for 8 years as a Hospitalist at Somerset Medical Center (1998 to 2006) and Hunterdon Medical Center (2017 to 2018). She is currently the Regional Medical Director for 2 prisons in New Jersey and has been working in the correctional setting for the past 14 years.
Dr. Braimbridge is double board-certified in Addiction Medicine under ABPM (American Board of Preventive Medicine) and Internal Medicine under ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine). She is a member of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) and has supervised programs in medicine for undergraduates, nursing students, and Addiction Medicine Fellows at Rutgers Medical School.
Dr. Braimbridge has also served on the board of Bonnie Brae, a residential program for at risk-boys in Liberty Corner New Jersey. She has worked with the organization from 2015 to 2017 and is currently on the Advisory Board.
