Turning Point Continues to Provide Treatment After Cedar Grove Facility Closes

Turning Point

VERONA, NJ – Turning Point has relocated its treatment services for alcoholism, drug addiction, and their co-occurring disorders after serving more than 30,000 individuals from Essex and other New Jersey counties at its Hilltop home in Cedar Grove for 31 years.

Individuals in need of addiction treatment and co-occurring mental health services are now being treated at Turning Point’s facility in Secaucus, which has 74 beds: 12 for men and women clients who are undergoing detoxification, 38 for men in short-term treatment, and 24 for men receiving long-term treatment as part of the New Jersey Drug Court Initiative. In addition, Turning Point is providing short-term treatment for addictions and their co-occurring disorders for 24 women at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Boonton.

While Turning Point continues its search for a permanent facility that will allow it to return to or exceed its 2005 capacity of 142 beds and consolidate all of its operations under one roof, its administrative offices have temporarily relocated to 96 Pompton Avenue, Suite B, in Verona.
